Goku's encounter with Emperor Pilaf at the Black Star Dragon Ball's location derails Pilaf's plan for world domination. Instead, Pilaf turns Goku back into a child with a misfired wish. The Black Star Dragon Balls scatter across the galaxy, and Goku learns they will destroy Earth unless all of them are retrieved within a year. Goku joins forces with Pan and Trunks to locate the Black Star Dragon Balls and prevent Earth's destruction.
