Copyright Policy
We take the intellectual property rights of others seriously and require that our Users do the same. The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) established a process for addressing claims of copyright infringement. If you own a copyright or have authority to act on behalf of a copyright owner and want to report a claim that a third party is infringing that material on or through AniWatch's services, please submit a DMCA report on our Contact page, and we will take appropriate action.
DMCA Report Requirements
To submit a valid DMCA takedown notice, please include the following information:
- A description of the copyrighted work that you claim is being infringed;
- A description of the material you claim is infringing and that you want removed or access to which you want disabled and the URL or other location of that material;
- Your name, title (if acting as an agent), address, telephone number, and email address;
- The following statement: "I have a good faith belief that the use of the copyrighted material I am complaining of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law (e.g., as a fair use)";
- The following statement: "The information in this notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, I am the owner, or authorized to act on behalf of the owner, of the copyright or of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed";
- An electronic or physical signature of the owner of the copyright or a person authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

Our Response Process
We will then review your DMCA request and take proper actions, including:
- Prompt investigation of the reported content within 2-3 business days
- Removal or disabling of access to the allegedly infringing material
- Notification to the user who posted the content regarding the removal
- Counter-notification process for users who believe their content was wrongfully removed
- Repeat infringer policy – termination of accounts for users who repeatedly violate copyright laws

Counter-Notification
If you believe that your material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. Your counter-notification must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material that has been removed or disabled
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, and telephone number
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court in your location
Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant. If we do not receive notice that they have filed a court action within 10-14 business days, we may restore the removed material.
Important Notes
- False claims – Submitting false or misleading DMCA notices may result in legal liability for damages, including costs and attorney's fees.
- Fair use – The DMCA recognizes fair use of copyrighted material for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, or research.
- Third-party content – AniWatch does not host any video files on its servers. All content is embedded from third-party sources.
