Samurai Shodown is set in feudal Japan, specifically in the Edo province, where six legendary warriors are reincarnated after being killed by their teammate, Shirou Amakusa, who betrayed them to an evil god. The reincarnated warriors, including Charlotte, Wan Fu, Nakoruru, Galford, Tamtam, and Haohmaru, aim to track down their lost comrade and defeat their sworn enemy. Their quest spans a hundred years, during which they face various challenges and battle against formidable foes.
