Sanctuary

Asami and Houjou, both Japanese survivors of the Khmer Rouge massacres, return to Japan and pursue different careers - one in politics, the other in organized crime. Their paths intertwine as they navigate the complex worlds of politics and crime, each driven to achieve their goals. While they remain loyal to their vow of finding a sanctuary, their friendship is strained by the demands of their respective fields.
