If Her Flag Breaks

Souta Hatate possesses a unique ability to see imaginary flags above people's heads, which supposedly signify turning points in a story. These flags can be romance flags, leading to a character's route, or death flags, indicating a character's impending demise. Souta has used his power to prevent others from dying, but a past accident has led him to believe he's cursed, causing him to avoid relationships and friendships. After transferring schools, he meets Nanami Knight Bladefield, who discovers his ability and pledges to support him.
