Perman (1983)

Mitsuo encounters Superman, an alien from a peace-maintaining galaxy federation. He receives a helmet with superhuman strength, a cape for flight, and a badge for underwater breathing and communication. As a Perman, Mitsuo's identity must remain secret, with his being replaced by a doppelganger robot while he's away. The Permans use their gifts to help those in need and maintain peace in their community.
