3000 Leagues in Search of Mother

Marco, a young boy from Genoa, Italy, lives with his father Pietro after his mother left for Argentina a year prior to find work. Letters from his mother arrive regularly, but eventually stop, leaving Marco to worry about her fate. Marco decides to travel to Argentina in search of his mother, with Pietro initially opposing but eventually supporting his son's determination. Through his journey, Marco meets various people and develops a greater sense of maturity and self-awareness.
