Yoichi Isagi is a young soccer player who made a crucial pass in a high school match that cost his team a chance to go to the nationals. He's invited to the Japan Football Union's Blue Lock project, where 300 U-18 strikers will compete to become the Japanese national team's star striker. The project's selection process is based on arbitrary and biased decisions. Isagi decides to join the project despite his reservations, intent on becoming the best.
