Death Note

Light Yagami, a high-achieving high school student, is disillusioned with the world's corruption and senselessness, feeling it's going nowhere. He finds the Death Note, a notebook from a Shinigami, which allows him to kill anyone by writing their name. Convinced he's destined to rid the world of evil, Light secretly executes criminals, aiming to establish a society without crime. His actions draw the attention of L, a renowned detective, and a cat-and-mouse game ensues as they engage in a battle of intellects over justice and morality.
